摘要
This paper attempts to produce a normalized difference vegetation index image map of Malaysia. Short-wave bands of the AVHRR imaging sensor on the NOAA series of weather satellites are used. Reductions in cloud contamination are achieved by merging several images within the same time frame. The sources of errors associated with the use of AVHRR are discussed.
