Psychological Wellbeing, Personality Traits and Socio-Demographic Factors in the Clinical and General Population of Northeast Argentina

摘要
The aim of this paper is to analyze psychological well-being, personality traits and sociodemographic factors in the clinical and general population of Northeast Argentina. The applied methodological design was non-experimental and cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational and of group difference. The sample consisted of 288 subjects of both sexes of low, medium and high social class, of clinical and general population, aged between 18 and 52 years belonging to the region. The instruments for data collection were: the Big Five Inventory (BFI); the Inventory of 90 Revised Symptoms -Symptom Check List 90-R (SLC-90-R) and the Psychological Well-Being Scale (Bieps-A). For the analysis of the data, descriptive, correlation and group difference tests were used. The results report positive and negative correlations between personality traits and dimensions of psychological well-being, as well as statistically significant differences according to clinical or general population. The conclusion is the association between psychological well-being, personality traits and socio-demographic factors, as well as significant differences in psychological well-being according to clinical and general population.
