摘要
The paper deals with the Buddhist paradise images in Medieval Japan. In this world, Buddha Amida's paradise was modeled in the temple- or palace-gardens. Japanese was well-examined in Chinese Buddhist Canon descriptions of Pure Land, but the native tradition modified this images considerable. While, according the amidaist sutras, there is no seasons in paradise, Pure Land garden in Japan shows all four seasons simultaneously. Such transformation refers to concept of seasonal variability as ideal nature condition, deeply rooted in Japanese culture.
