Which Shape of Triangle is Better for Multipath-Assisted Indoor Localization?

摘要
Recently, location based service plays a more and more important role in people's daily life, so indoor location technology has developed rapidly. Specailly, indoor localization using a single access point with the multipath triangulation has been obtained great attentions, in which the reflection path is considered as "friend" instead of "enemy" compared with the traditional localization methods. However, the prior systems do not dive into the impact of the shape of the multipath triangle on the localization accuracy. So, in this paper we investigate this factor deeply and propose a method that make better use of multipath triangles for improving the accuracy. We use the commercial-grade ray tracing simulation software to conduct simulations, and the experimental results show that the median error is decreased by around 16%.
