Catholic ecclesiology -: Separative differences and rappochements with other churches

What are the fundamental or nodal elements of Catholic ecclesiology? To what extent do they still constitute today divisive differences between the Catholic Church and the other Churches? This is the object of the present study. The article starts by reminding some key points of a Catholic understanding of the Church in relationship with the Second Vatican Council, which is the object of a conflict of interpretation today within Catholicism. On the basis of some ecumenical documents of the last ten years, the author then examines which of these key points remain divisive today and to what extent, even if divergences vary greatly from one Christian tradition to another and have sometimes given rise to remarkable reconciliation during these last years.
