The conversion of energy in an environmentally compatible way is relevant to power and heat stations just as well as to the machines used. Pumps for example. A new, compact type of boiler feed pumps for small energy generators is provided with bearings that are feedwater-self-lubricating. The installation expenditure is noticeably reduced and maintenance and repair have become easier, too. In the Biomass-Combined Heat and Power Station Sulzbach-Rosenberg (Oberpfalz) (Upper Palatinate) four of the aggregates have been in operation since April 1995. The intermediate results convince the operators as well as the manufacturers.
