Supporting process redesign - An integrated approach

HICOS was an ESPRIT project to develop a fully integrated business case processing system. It provides a suite of modules covering the complete process lifecycle, from business requirements identification through to enactment in a production environment. This gager will describe the HICOS system, concentrating on the process analysis and design features, i.e. the business process analysis methodology and the process definition tool, Emphasis will be placed on the underlying philosophy and view of BPR that lies behind the HICOS system and the way in which the system supports the organization/designer develop effective and efficient business processes.
