摘要
This article presents the experimental investigation of the combustion process and emissions of heated ethanol-rapeseed oil blends in a typical tractor engine without any adjustment in the injection pump or engine. It was just coupled dual fuel system to run the diesel engine in preheated oil blends. In this report more precisely the changes in the onset of combustion and emission are studied of different ethanol blends in reference to diesel and pure rapeseed oil base tests. The blends tested were 4% and 10% on mass of E85 (15% petrol and 85 % of ethanol) mixed with rapeseed oil. Overall we see a delayed onset of combustion with increasing amounts of E85 at intermediate/low regimes and loads. At high loads THC and CO emissions of diesel are higher compared to RO and E85 blend, at low loads no improvement is seen respect to RO or diesel. NOx emissions don't differ much from pure rapeseed oil. CO2 emissions are slightly reduced in the 4% E85 blend and also larger fuel consumption was seen.
