摘要：
Adaptive finite element solutions of the equation of motion in structural dynamics considering geometric nonlinearities are a first step concerning general nonlinearities. An adaptive mesh modification scheme based on the estimation of the error in the energy norm is presented. A particular focus is on the mapping of the state variables between evolving meshes.
