摘要
Rural settlements are regions that have unique architecture and reflect the characteristics of the region in which they are located. The rural settlements including many architectural heritages arc abandoned due to the changing living conditions. It is necessary to value and to prevent the destruction of our rural architectural heritage which is an unrenewable value and endangered by the immigration. In this study, Karadogan Village (Now, it is named as Karadogan Neighborhood) which has traditional house and village texture, at the same time gives immigrate and is in danger due to nature conditions, is taken as a sample. Its historical development, traditional architecture, traditional building types and construction techniques, features of plan and facade are examined in the study. In addition, two examples of civil architecture have been analyzed in detail. The scope of the study is to document the Karadogan village and raise awareness of the preservation of architectural heritage in abandoned rural settlements.
