摘要
This paper reports the results of the field trials using a testbed based on inter-operator Multipath TCP (MPTCP) communications in a heterogeneous mobile network that provides two subflows with different performances. While the conventional MPTCP implementation is not suitable for such a heterogeneous network due to no consideration for subflows with different performances, the MPTCP implementation in the testbed is enhanced by the state-of-the-art algorithms in congestion control and path scheduler for practical evaluations. The trial results of uplink throughput and round-trip time suggest that a combination of the congestion control and path scheduling algorithms achieves an outstanding low latency performance with a practical throughput performance.
