摘要
This work presents a study about the group musical performance. Five groups took part in the study and data was taken from a databank containing Canadian and Brazilian music groups interviews conducted in the last four years. The he study is grounded on Ortega y Gasset's thinking that recommends the object to be thought in the light of the lived reality, and on Seeger's music and performance concept. The answers obtained during individual and collective interviews were themed and clustered. The results showed that the group performance ultimate goal was to make an enjoyable sound for its members, and that the performance extends its results to the gains and exchanges that could result from group participants' interaction.
