摘要
In this paper, we propose a set of physically reasonable boundary conditions to establish the existence of steady incompressible impinging jet flows that are issuing from an asymmetric finitely long nozzle. More precisely, given a two-dimensional finitely long nozzle and an infinitely long vertical wall, for a horizontal velocity in the inlet of the nozzle, then there exists a smooth incompressible impinging jet flow with two asymptotic directions such that the two free surfaces of the impinging jet initiate smoothly at the endpoints of the nozzle. In particular, there exists a smooth streamline which separates the fluid into different places in downstream, and intersects the plate at a unique branching point. With only one asymptotic direction in the downstream, we prove the non-existence of such jet flows.(c) 2022 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
