Polyglot Persistence in Conceptual Modeling for Information Analysis

摘要
The paper addresses the implications on conceptual data modeling resulting from the concept of polyglot persistence. The challenge is to align the original process deriving one selected logical model from one conceptual model to this new concept where arbitrary logical models can be used. Therefore, the idea of deriving more than one logical model from a conceptual model is considered and a process is defined that allows this with rather little additional effort and ruling by splitting the conceptual model before the derivation process. The result is a simple amendment to the existing modeling process and the necessary rules presented are easy in application though exhaustive in the different possibilities of splitting.
