摘要
This paper presents a comparison of two rare-earth less outer rotor electrical machines suitable for industrial applications like fans, conveyors etc. After few basic theoretical considerations on an induction machine and a variable reluctance synchronous machine, a study based on numerical analysis is performed for both machines. The most important electro-mechanical quantities of the analyzed structures are obtained from steady state and transient regime calculations. Conclusions regarding the performed study are presented in the final part of the paper.
