Divination, Yi-tu, Image-numerology, Philosophical Connotations: The Study about Zhu Xi's Yi-ology in Mainland China Recent Twenty Years

The weight and the status of Zhu Xi's Yi-ology in the history of China's Yi-ology are as comprehensive as his Neo-Confucianism in Chinese ideological history. The study did by the mainland academic circle toward Zhu Xi's Yi-ology has developed through decades' accumulation and endeavor. Both the study content and study methods have been developed to a certain stage, and some great study results have also been achieved. According to the differences of study areas, it can be roughly divided into five aspects: The first is the understanding and discussion of Zhu Xi's entire Yi-ology system and the basic features of Yi-ology; The second is the thinking and discussion about Yi-ology from the aspect of historical research and textual research of literature; The third is the discussion from the view of the images and numbers in Zhu Xi's Yi-ology; The fourth is the discussion from the view of the philosophical connotations in Zhu Xi's Yi-ology; The fifth is the discussion about Zhu Xi's Yi-ology hermeneutics, the influence of Zhu Xi's Yi-ology and its relevant discussion. Looking into the study content, the study about Zhu Xi's Yi-ology in recent years of Chinese mainland has referred to all areas of Zhu Xi's Yi-ology; and from the study methods, it started to use relevant theoretical achievements in hermeneutics, Linguistics, exegetics, history and other fields of study for reference, in order to have multidimensional thinking and different views toward Zhu Xi's Yi-ology. However, in general, few study achievements about Zhu Xi's Yi-ology in mainland China are comprehensively and systematically. From the history and current situation of Zhu Xi's Yi-ology study, it can be concluded that modem scholars more likely to conduct their study from philosophical thinking. In contrast, the text study of Zhu Xi's Yi-ology is relatively weak.
