Experimental Study on Fluidization Characteristics of Mixture of Biomass and Coal in a Fluidized Bed

摘要:
The fluidization characteristics are very important for the co-combustion of biomass and coal in fluidized bed. The fluidization characteristics of coal, rice husk, sawdust and bi-component mixed with coal were experimentally investigated in this paper. The results showed that in the single biomass fluidized experiments, the rice husk can be fluidized, while the sawdust can not, and the critical fluidization velocity can be obtained through the experiments. When the rice husk mass content is more than 50% and the sawdust mass content is more than 30%, the mixtures can not be fluidized in the experiments of biomass and coal binary particle mixture. In the bi-component fluidized experiments, the critical fluidization velocity of mixtures is close to the coal when the biomass content is less (10%). The critical fluidization velocity of mixtures is raised as the biomass content increases. The influencing factors of critical fluidization velocity are not only including the physical properties of materials, but also considering the influence of grinding and screening. The inner diameter of reactive agent can also have influence on the critical fluidization velocity.
