Boron nitride nanotubes were synthesized by an arc-inciting method from YB6 powder in N-2/Ar mixture gas, and various structures were confirmed by high-resolution electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
