摘要
The environmental impacts of the services' accommodation operation are concerns of managers by the enterprises and hotel users and in recent decades have brought greater public awareness of the extent of environmental degradation resulting from these operations. The search deals with the case study at the Grand Hotel Sao Pedro is located in Aguas de Sao Pedro, city of the Sao Paulo state, Brazil. The Hotel School is maintained and managed by Servico Nacional de Aprendizagem Comercial (SENAC), existing educational institution in Brazil with short courses, undergraduate, graduate and extension. The objective of this study was to analyze environmental requirements of ABNT NBR 15401 which deals with environmental management system in hotels and compare it with the SENAC Eco-efficiency Program University Centre for which manages improvement alternatives in sustainability at the Grand Hotel Sao Pedro. The Hotel meets the main requirements required by the standard within its eco-efficiency program and presents an opportunity for improvement.
