摘要
In a community based cross sectional survey in Sekota District, the overall prevalence of gross goitre was found to be 22.8% and visible goitre prevalence of 5.8%. Altitude and age correlated with goitre prevalence. Females were more affected than males. The peak prevalence was observed in highlands; 90.1% in females beyond the age of 18 years and 49% in males between the age of thirteen to eighteen years.
