摘要：

The outburst of the economic crisis generated a wave of criticism towards the mainstream neoclassical economic theory, which is being held responsible for this crisis. We depart from Thomas Kuhn's definition of crisis in science so therefore the aim of this paper is to verb the validity of this definition for the economic science. In order to achieve this we evaluate the main accusations which entail as research goals. The failure of the neoclassical theory is seen as the failure of Economics, but it may not be necessarily so.
