摘要
Within the automotive industry working with simulations has become a natural part of the development cycle in order to reduce the amount of vehicle testing and cost of development. A complex brake-by-wire system has been developed in a relatively short time period within the BRAKE project. There is a need to verify the system architecture, communication protocol, actuators, controller software and hardware before the system can be installed in the demonstration vehicle. Therefore simulation models have been created for all the different subsystems and have integrated into a complete model. The creation of this complete simulation model, the objectives of the brake-by-wire system itself and the development methodology are presented. The complete model has been used for brake performance and fault injection simulations. Critical faults of the system have been identified and these have been applied to the model in simulation in order to prove the robustness of the system. Simulation results are presented and analysed. The work of this project is partially funded by the European Union under the IST programme.
