摘要
1,3-bis(5,6-dimethyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)benzene, bbb a neutral tridentate ligand, is synthesized and employed as a chemosensor for the detection of different anions with highest affinity for fluoride. The detection ability of this ligand bbb is confirmed using UV-vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, and H-1 NMR techniques. Anion binding studies using H-1 NMR and fluorescence spectroscopy revealed that bbb exhibits high selectivity for fluoride over other anions. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
