摘要
A focusing method is developed to characterize the refractive index profile of polymer optical fiber (POF). Based on the refractive index profile the theoretical bandwidth and the core index exponent alpha (alpha > 0) of POF are calculated. The results show that the value of theoretical bandwidth agrees well with the experimental data.
