摘要
The Tiered GlobalSoilMap products specifications (release 2.3) provides guidelines for, among others, producing mesh point coverages and rasters to support mapping of soil properties. These guidelines also specify the points/cells unique identifier numbering schema. These specifications have been implemented as a script using the Python programming language. The script produces flat ASCII text files of ID/longitude/latitude both in WGS84 geographic coordinates and projected coordinates. It also produces ArcGIS (R) point feature classes and rasters delivered in a File Geodatbase (c). The script is currently tested to produce the datasets for France at level 12 (3 arc seconds resolution). This results in almost 100 million points (or raster cells).
