摘要
The article analyzes the professional actions and working conditions of social workers in the sphere of Primary Health Care in the Federal District - Brazil, with the aim of understanding the limits and possibilities of professional action in that occupational space. From the qualitative analysis, based on the bibliographic-documentary review and on the field research with the application of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, conditions that affect the daily life of social workers are observed in the context of metamorphosis in the world of work. Taking into account the current situation in Brazil, of remodeling the functions of the State from a neoliberal perspective, social workers find difficulties and dilemmas in the tense relations established between the salaried dimension of work and ethical and political precepts.
