摘要
This paper concentrates upon the topic of automated fluorescent dye penetrant inspection (FPI). Particular attention is paid to the inspection stage of the process where the difficulties and problems are discussed. Previous research into automated inspection is reviewed including a section on developed automated inspection systems. The paper summarises the technical and practical progress made towards developing an improved inspection system.
