摘要
Nucleic acids bases are well known for their extraordinary high ability of self-association at electrodes surfaces. Formation of self assembled monolayers with specific molecular orientation - two dimensional (2D) condensations - is allowed by this ability. The 2D condensation of different substituents of cytosine, namely 5-fluorocytosine, 5-bromocytosine and 5-iodocytosine, was studied using hanging mercury drop and gold single crystal electrode. We have found, that all of these derivatives form 2D capacitance pits for different pH's.
