摘要：
This paper reviews the current state of marine electric propulsion systems and the various system developments currently being pursued to achieve greater power density and explains why these developments are economically and operationally desirable. The paper also reviews the specific power electronic converter applications that are supporting the system developments with particular reference to converter design. The paper concludes by considering the likely future direction of development for power electronic converters.
