摘要
This paper presents an analytical model to investigate the effect of randomly distributed micro-organic dust particles on the flame propagation through the combustible mixture by considering the thermal resistance and temperature difference between the gas and the particles. The effect of thermal resistance on flame characteristics is intended by the dimensionless Biot number. It is concluded that the increase in Biot number leads to decrease in the burning velocity as well as flame temperature. Conclusively, flame characteristics for different Lewis numbers and particles radii are reported. Results show that both flame temperature and burning velocity increase with enhancement in the Lewis number. This research leads us to a deep understanding of random combustion of lycopodium particles and more practical prediction of particle combustion compared to the published theoretical studies.
