摘要
Process flowsheeting is an activity nowadays routinely performed using dedicated commercial programs, which implement the required computations and provide the process engineer with a user-friendly graphical interface. We discuss the different approaches for process flowsheeting, and present our own approach, LIBPF, based on describing the model directly in the syntax of a high-level object-oriented programming language. The scope of the proposed approach is limited to steady-state or dynamic modelling of first principle, process-wide concentrated parameters models for continuous chemico-physical processes, with a special focus on on-line applications.
