Numerical simulation on fire spread in a river-across tunnel

摘要
This paper is intended to explore the laws governing the fire spread and smoke diffusion in a tunnel in several typical situations of fire based on the field model of a river-across tunnel. Analyses on the laws of the smoke temperature variation and of the visibility variation are given to calculate the available safe egress time (ASET) in case of fire. Accordingly, the mode of ventilation and the plan of smoke control are proposed to guarantee the fire extinction, the rescue and the evacuation.
