摘要
The influence of a soil amendment consisting of fresh and spent mushroom compost, and of soil fumigation with metham sodium or methyl bromide on nematode population densities was studied in a cucumber-Swiss chard rotation in greenhouses. The compost treatment was effective against plant parasitic nematodes and provided a similar level of control to the chemicals metham sodium and methyl bromide. The compost produced an increase in omnivorous and predator nematodes, which drastically decreased in the methyl bromide plots. Cucumber production was similar in both compost and methyl bromide treatments, with lower costs for the compost. application.
