Reaction losses of light charged particles in CsI, BGO and GSO scintillators

Nuclear interaction losses of H-1,H-2,H-3, He-4,He-6,He-8, Li-6,Li-7,Li-8,Li-9 and Be-9 in CsI, EGO and GSO crystals have been measured as a function of particle energy in the range of 10-50 MeV/nucleon by direct exposure of Delta E(Si)-E(Sci/PD) telescopes to secondary beams from the ACCULINNA fragment separator. The results are compared with calculations based on inelastic cross sections from complete fusion and diffraction scattering (Glauber) models. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
