Work being done with college writing students to introduce Voice to Text (VtoT) apps for use during the invention stage of writing will be shared. The research focuses on whether these apps help students to "write more like they talk," which in turn may make their writing clearer. Descriptions of the activities conducted with students, feedback collected, and analysis of the effects of the technology on student writing will be discussed, as well as levels of comfort with use of the apps.
