Identification and Stress Resistance Study on a Salt Resistant Strain of Bacillus sp.

摘要
The arable land is reducing year by year due to soil salinization, therefore selects salt resistance microbes and constructs the transgenic plants is imminent. A moderately halophilic bacteria strain Bacillus sp.tp was isolated from the intestinal of a Kunming mouse in our previous work. Now it was primarily identified as Bacillus licheniformis according to its physiological & biochemical characteristics and the 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. The homology between the 16S rDNA sequence of Bacillus sp. tp and that of Bacillus licheniformis ATCC 14580 was 99.7%. The optimal growth of Bacillus sp. tp was obtained at pH 7.0 and 37 degrees C. The survival rate of the strain tp was nearly 100% when treated at 90 degrees C for 10min and it growed well in LB medium containing 0-24% NaCl.
