摘要
Carbon nanotubes composites can be profitably employed in different engineering applications due to their remarkable properties. In this research we have examined composites of syndiotactic Poly(propylene) (sPP) loaded with 1, 3 and 10 % wt/wt of Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs). The physical and electrical properties of films produced by employing melt extrusion and by using two different quenching temperatures from the melt (25 degrees C and 100 degrees C) are studied. The presence of nanoparticles affects the structure and morphology of the matrix, increasing the crystallization kinetics and leading to more disordered forms, even for the higher quenching temperature. The composites reach high conductivity values with a CNTs content lower than that reported for other systems implying good dispersion of the CNTs in the sPP matrix.
