Synthesis of polystyrene-block-poly(methyl methacrylate) brushes by reverse atom transfer radical polymerization

摘要
Tethered diblock copolymer brushes were formed by sequential 'living'/controlled radical polymerization techniques using reverse atom transfer radical polymerization (RATRP). The diblock copolymers brushes were characterized by ATR-FTIR, ellipsometry, and tensiometry. The brushes were found to exhibit reversible water contact angles similar to those made by a carbocationic/ATRP strategy.
