Development of a speech control system for the MANUS manipulator

摘要
The paper describes the experimental development of a speech input system for the rehabilitation manipulator MANUS. The developed human-machine-interface system is PC-based and applies speech recognition software by Dragon Systems. Users are enabled to select MANUS functions by speech commands and control the execution of the selected function with a single button. With this method even fine motion of the manipulator can easily be controlled. Furthermore the speech input system has been successfully applied to control a "virtual MANUS" on the graphical robot simulation system IGRIP.
