摘要：

Appropriate and effective human-computer interface (HCI) development methodologies must be based within the framework of total system development. It is possible to survey existing, successful system, software, and HCI development methodologies and distill the essential elements of effective development process from them. This paper presents the results of such a review and distillation, providing examples of criteria for evaluating the ''good practice'' of an HCI development program in the following areas: General HCI Design Guidance, Task Relatedness of Requirements, General HCI Design Feature Selection, Guidelines for Detailed HCI Design, Analysis for Detailed HCI Design, and HCI Evaluations.
