摘要
The Bologna Process highlighted a new student focused teaching/learning paradigm. The students would have an active part in it for which they need skills, namely the capability for active, autonomous and reflective study. The present paper aims to ascertain the need to promote training on active and reflective study/learning methodologies for students in the 1st year of engineering courses. This work resorts to a case study which features a questionnaire survey. The results show that most students know few study methods and that these are passive, that most students see training in this domains as positive and some even refer that they aren't pleased with the current methods in use. It is also noteworthy that the study / learning methods those students use the most and refer to as the most effective, reveal a conception of a transmitting education in which the passive role of students as reproducers of knowledge transmitted by teachers is privileged.
