摘要
This paper presents the results of a study aimed at investigating the effect of user mobility on the performance of multicellular telecommunication systems. The developed model, based on queueing theory, considers a finite number of users and different mobility situations allowing the evaluation of usual performance parameters, e.g., blocking probability of new call and handoff, forced termination probability, carried traffic, et. Simulation experiments confirm the analytical results for a wide range of mobility and load conditions. In particular, it has been shown quantitatively that, as expected, an increase of mobility affects adversely the most significative performance parameters.
