摘要
This paper proposes a technique for scheduling demand side load of household according to the varying prices of electricity and availability of sources of non-conventional energy. The aim of this paper is to minimize the cost of electricity by maximizing the use of sources of non-conventional energy. It evaluates the economic benefits of demand response for the utility through critical peak pricing for weekdays and weekend. The simulation results show the proposed technique minimizes the total cost of electricity consumption and provides the economic benefits to the users comfort level and provides a desired balance between the load demand and non-conventional energy generation plus grid energy.
