EFFECTS OF GREEN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ON ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE

The international environmental protection trend in past years has entered the 21st century and has become an important issue for ensuring international competitiveness in various nations. Accordingly, environmental management issues are gradually emphasised by domestic enterprises to promote and introduce the policies of green supply chain and quality environmental management in order to conform to global environmental protection trend and the relevant regulations. However, it relies on the assistance of healthy environmental protection industry to find out the foothold in the international environmental protection wave. Aiming at environmental protection industry in northern Taiwan, the supervisors and employees of environmental protection firms are distributed 360 copies of questionnaire for this study. Total 257 valid copies are retrieved, with the retrieval rate 71%. The research results show significantly positive effects of: (1) green supply chain management on environmental management; (2) environmental management on organisational performance, and (3) green supply chain management on organisational performance. Suggestions are further proposed, according to the results, to understand the effectiveness of enterprises promoting green supply chain management for the reference of other enterprises promoting green supply chain management and environmental management.
