摘要
Studies on firm size in relation with other specific factor have long been considered and studied in management literature (Temtime, 2003; Bishop and Megick, 2002; AriasAranda, Minguela-Rata, and Rodriguez-Duarte, 2001; Terziovski and Samson, 2001; Hong Liu, 1995). However, how they defined and measured size would be different from one of another. When considering service firm, studies directly related to strategy and size are even scarcer. Most studies did not consider size as a moderating variable but directly related to the variables. Though, not much attention has been gained in the context of operational field. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between operations strategy and management firm size in a context of parking management services. Parking management is crucial to any organization or institution when offering services to their customer, plus improves customer-organization relationship. Operations strategy is measured through a set of items configuring nine dimensions. The main goal was to determine whether service firms practice different operations strategies according to different number of staff. With this specific study on operation strategy and management size focusing on a car parking management company, the results and suggestions will help on a further studies to solve car parking related problems in UiTM Shah Alam.
