Gradient-based adaptive filter with optimum stepsizes

摘要：
In this paper , by way of optimization theory it is shown that there exist finite optimum update positions in the gradient direction of the error performance surfaces of the adaptive filter. The potimum stepsizes to reach these positions are the reciprocal eigenvalves of the input signal correlation matrix. The discrete cosine transform is used to estimate the optimum stepsizes. Computer experiments show that the developed adaptive filter provides a faster convergence rate.
