摘要：
Higher education institutions are increasingly deploying efforts to reduce the gap between the world of academia and the business world. Internships in companies are a useful tool towards achieving this objective by teaching and training the professionals of tomorrow. With this premise we aim to describe AQUAdemia as an illustrative case of bridging curriculum development and companies, in general, and in water- related industries, in particular. The main objective of this paper is to highlight the procedures followed for bridging university and business by adjusting competences trained in academia to competences required in the real world of work. We discuss the preliminary results obtained and some lessons learned.
