摘要：

This paper describes the analysis of a base propped retaining wall constructed in a stiff fissured clay. All the analyses were undertaken before the scheme was constructed in order to assist the design of the permanent and temporary works. The predictions were compared with subsequent measurements of the walls behaviour and good agreement was obtained. This case history provides a valuable insight into the behaviour of these structures.
