Kinetic study of poly-N-methylpyrrole electrogeneration

摘要
In this kinetic study ex situ microgravimetry, chronoamperometry and cyclic voltammetry were used to determine the orders of reaction with respect to the electrolyte, the monomer and the general kinetic equation in N-methylpyrrole electropolymerization in an acetonitrile medium with sodium perchlorate as dopant. Physical properties such as charge productivity P-Q, charge storage efficiency C-Q, and doping level y were calculated and their variations were analyzed. Data from the kinetic study suggest that the influence of the electrolyte on the electropolymerization mechanism is considerable and is directly related to its concentration. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V.
