摘要
Thirteen secondary metabolites were isolated from the liquid phases of liquid cultures of two strains, LA39 and 214 Ca, of the fungus Stagonospora sp., a pathogen of field (Convolvulus arvensis) and hedge (Calystegia sepium) bindweeds. An unexpected reaction of an ortho-quinone compound with acetone is described. Toxicity tests, performed on crude extracts and some pure metabolites, confirm the toxic activity of these strains.
